Tina+Dan | Married!

Dan and Tina got married on an absolutely beautiful day in June at The Soulard Preservation Hall. The day was stuffed to the brim with homemade details, such as ALL of the groomsmen ties made by Tina herself, and little surprises for the guests, like a home movie they made about how they met, and performances for each other. Tina learned how to play the ukulele and sang You and I to Dan, and then Dan had recorded a homemade rap to a Jay-Z song to surprise Tina. The day was as much fun as I could have possibly imagined for this group of creative folks. Such fun, such love and I was so happy to be able to share all of it with them.

Enjoy!!!

Vanessa+Dillon | Engaged

I met Vanessa and Dillon over the phone months and months ago, when they came to me about photographing their September wedding. We’d had many phone chats and emails exchanged, but these two fab folks live in Virginia, so we met one fine June morning in Tower Grove Park for their engagement session. I was more than excited because I got to do my first session with balloons. I had suggested it to Vanessa in an email, and I’m pretty sure her response was ” ummm YES.” When she told me they were going to be incorporating some themes from the movie “Up,” there was no question. Balloons were a necessity. So I went out and got some. After traipsing around the park we headed over to South Grand for a bit and we snagged one of my favorite images of the day.

Vanessa and Dillon, I can wait for the wedding, I will see you very soon!

Enjoy….

Meaghan+Josh | Engagement

I met Meaghan years ago, and reconnected through Facebook over the last couple years. Thank heavens for social networking.:)I have always loved Meaghan, she is fun and a no-nonsense kind of girl. So, not only was I happy to start chatting with her through Facebook, but I was even more happy ton hear that she got engaged and wanted me to photograph her wedding. So, we beat the heat and did their engagement session before it got to hot. One thing Meaghan has no tolerance for is the heat, hence the late November wedding. After a brief stop in Carondolet Park with their two dogs we headed downtown for some warehouse fun, with the final stop at Crown Candy Kitchen. If you have never been, I highly recommend checking it out. Their chocolate malts (among many other things) are delish. We wanted to have our final stop here for two reasons. One: it’s good. And two: this is Meaghan and Josh’s spot. They each have their signature dishes and always order them. So it seemed only fitting that we hit it up. And then have something to eat.

Meaghan and Josh, thank you for a wonderful session and a delicious chocolate malt. I can’t wait for the wedding.

Enjoy…

June | Newborn

Little June was an absolutely fantastic baby. She was adorable as well as very cooperative.:)That means, she slept like a champ. Her room was done up to the nines and had tons of little details that always get me so excited. One thing that I love about doing these in-home sessions is being able to see how excited new parents are about their new little love and projecting that into the baby’s room. There was lots of pink and green and elephants for Miss June. It was bright and cheerful and very inviting. Any little girl would be stoked about a room like this, as I’m sure June will be soon. Thank you again to Genny and Matt for welcoming me into their home to photograph your new family. I had a wonderful time and can’t wait to do it again!

Enjoy…

Patrick | 9 months

I met up with Patrick and his family at Thornhill in Faust Park to do his nine month session. Have I mentioned how fun it is to watch these little ones grow over the course of a year? It is simply awesome. The last time I was with him he was really just rolling over. Now he is all over the place. It was also great to be able to move the family outside into the sunshine. Check out Patrick and his adorable family. Coming up… one year!!! See you soon!

Enjoy…
