Tina+Dan | Engaged

Dan and Tina live in L.A. and we met over the phone last year. Dan is a no nonsense kinda guy when it comes to making decisions (he is a TOTAL nonsense kinda guy in everything else, as you’ll see in a minute) so they booked me right then. They were coming in at Christmas so we planned to do their engagement session then. And lucky for us we had the crazy warm winter, so that made a late December outdoor session fabulous.
I met Tina and Dan in person at the Muny and I was introduced to their fun and silly antics for the next few hours as we traipsed through Forest Park and the Central West End. I was also a witness to Tina’s cupcake obsession when we stumbled on The Cup and had to go in for a taste. And some photos too, of course. They are delish BTW, just in case you wondered.
I actually just photographed their amazing wedding last weekend and I can’t wait to post it. It was simply perfect for these two quirky amazing people. But that’s all I’m going to say on that…for now. Now, enjoy some images….

Can you see the excitement on her face? This was legit. Totally for realzies.

They had these cupcakes at their wedding.:)

Dan was full of ideas…including being very VERY romantic…by the trash can sign.

Addison | Newborn

I got super lucky. Noah’s school was ripe with pregnant mommies, and I was so happy to be able to photograph most of them. In fact, I was picking Noah up from school yesterday and I got to see three of my babies all within 5 minutes. It was awesome.
This brings us to Miss Addison. I was able to do her session just a few days after I did Raelyn’s session, still practicing my new newborn skillz. She was a super baby, and slept for me the whole time. Thank you Laura, for letting me come in and photograph your newest addition!

Enjoy!

Raelyn | Newborn

I’ve known Raelyn’s family for about two years now. My son Noah went to pre-school with her big brother Cohen, who is also Noah’s best friend. I have photographed her brothers before and so I was so excited to do her newborn session and help welcome her to the world. Lisa and Dominic, thank you so much for having me photograph your newest addition!

Raelyn was also the first newborn session that I did after I took a newborn workshop in Indianapolis with an absolutely fantastic newborn photographer Rachel Vanoven. So, I was beyond excited to have a model to try out some of the poses and techniques I learned. And what a wonderful model she was.

Enjoy!

Laura + Adam get hitched!

I was so excited to share Adam and Laura’s wedding day with them. They had their wedding and reception at the Wildey Theater in Edwardsville and it was perfect. The rain held off for us until after we were done with photos and then it kept raining, and we got one of my favorite images ever. This is the one time I have actually been happy that it was raining.:)Thank you Laura and Adam for being so fun and in love and letting me take your pictures along the way. And a HUGE thanks to my fabulous second Sara, without her the magical rain images would never have happened.

Enjoy!

Sarah+Brad get hitched!

The day came and I was so excited to spending time with Brad and Sarah on their wedding day. They had a small family ceremony on Friday and then a reception on Saturday with all of their family and friends at Salt, a very cool restaurant in the Central West End. Thank you again Sarah and Brad for having me come and document your big day! And thanks to Abbie for seconding, you rocked it!

Enjoy!
